Correction policy

How ImportCost handles errors.

Report an error

Send the page URL, the figure you believe is wrong, and the official source that supports the correct value. Reports that include a government citation are actioned fastest because they can be verified immediately.

How corrections are made

Data corrections are made in the repository that backs this site, which means every change is recorded with a timestamp, an author, and a commit message citing the source document. Nothing is silently overwritten.

Material corrections are disclosed

If a published figure was wrong in a way that could have changed a reader's decision, the affected page carries a dated correction notice rather than being quietly edited.

Timeframe

Verified errors in tariff figures are corrected within one business day. Corrections to explanatory text are made on a routine schedule.
